Some people find the call waiting tone too quiet to notice it.  You can easily adjust both the volume and the duration of the tone to make it more obvious.  First, you will need to connect to the phone using any web browser.  To do this, get the IP address of the phone by pressing the UP key on the directional pad.

The display will show the IP address of the phone, which will look similar to this (but not exactly the same):  192.168.1.42.  Type the address shown into your web browser, which will then display the phone's login screen.  The default login is "admin" for both the username and password.  If you are unable to connect to the phone, please see the troubleshooting section at the end of this article.

Once you are logged in, select the "Settings" menu and then select "Ring tone."  Set the "Call Waiting Tone Gain" as desired (Low/Med/High).  The default is low.  We can also change this for you for all phones in your company, just request it via a support ticket.

Another optional setting is the tone duration.  To give a much longer tone, copy this into the field titled "Call-Waiting Tone":  f1=440,f2=440,c=75/475;

TROUBLESHOOTING:  If you are unable to open the phone's configuration screens, this is probably because your network administrator has put the phones on a separate network from your computers.  You will need to check with your IT support person on this, as we are unable to make changes to your internal network.
