Directed call pickup lets you take a call that is ringing on a specific phone by dialing a code and then the extension number.  This is not configured by default, and is a custom feature.  

Standard (group-based) call pickup is already configured for you and allows you to take a call that is ringing on another phone in your own ring group.  By default, the entire company is in one ring group, but we can easily move phones into various ring groups.  For example, all of accounting could be one group and a warehouse another group, since neither group would ever pick up each others' calls.  To use this feature, dial *8 then press [Dial], [Speaker], [Headset], or lift the handset.

NOTE:  If multiple calls are ringing, you will get the first call that came into the group.
